Congratulations to everyone who competed in the 2022 inaugral edition of the Special Maths Contest. Out of 400 contestants in the first round, we have three winners who would be going home with a grand total of 500 US dollars in prizes. Download the results here . Raising future mathematicians

Registration and The First Round

Any student between the age of 12-18 years, who is not enrolled in any university or higher education system is eligible to take part in SMC. To register, all you need to do is to create an account on the participant portal. The first round of the examination will happen on Saturday, October 15 2022. On this day, you can choose any two-hour period that is convenient for you and you take the test. For more detailed information, review the SMC Guidelines Document.

Round 1

Preliminaries

Saturday, October 15 2022
25 Problems

You will be tasked with solving 25 multiple-choice questions in two hours. These questions will extensively cover Geometry, Number Theory, Combinatorics, and Algebra topics.

Round 2

The Finale

November 2022
4 Problems

We will invite top participants in the preliminaries to take part in the Finale. In the Finale, you will be given 4 olympiad-level problems to solve in five hours. This test will be proctored over a video call.

Prizes

First Place: 250 US Dollars

Second Place: 150 US Dollars

Third Place: 100 US Dollars
